Now if only promotion could guarantee a film's success! HAAL E DIL had so many factors running in it's favor - a fresh star cast that looked promising, alluring visuals, hit music, a producer/father who shelled out crores to ensure a great launch for the film! However, there was trouble in paradise. And that was the last set of promos which came on air.
The moment talkie promo appeared on the music channels, it started becoming obvious that the film had strong elements of DDJL and JAB WE MET. Somehow, instead of generating a positive vibe about the film, it only turned out to be the opposite with the audience getting a strong sense of deja vu. It was never expected that the film would take anything better than a barely average opening. But a 10% start was a shocker. Add to that the film being billed by one and all as the biggest ever blunder on the lines of TASHAN and one pretty much knew where the film is headed.
The film has broken dreams for the cast of the film but one person who has come out relatively unscathed is Adhyayan Suman. His 20 minutes act has been noticed by the industry and it should soon be time for his re-launch with Mukesh Bhatt's RAAZ 2. We are waiting! ...

... Kumar Mangat's HAAL-E-DIL did not find many takers. The film collected 11.15 lakhs from Bombay, 2.40 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 6.40 lakhs from Delhi, 2 lakhs from Lucknow and 1.30 lakhs from Nagpur. Netting just about 50 lakhs from India, it is obvious that the Anil Devgan directed film turns out to be another disappointment, but definitely not for the debut making stars, especially Amita and Adhyayan, whose efforts have been appreciated. ...

... HAAL E DIL has bombed, KHUSHBOO has been one of the Top-3 non-performers of the year while DE TAALI has barely managed to give itself a chance for turning out to be a break even preposition - Now that's the fate of the three films targeted mainly at youngsters that released last week.
When a film's producer accepts that his film has failed in the opening weekend itself and one of the leads publicly calls it as the worst film of the year so far, you know that everything about it has seriously gone wrong. This is the apt way to describe the fortunes of much publicized HAAL E DIL whose 40 lakhs collections in the first week are way below even the print and publicity cost. The hackneyed film has failed in such a big way that it's collections are even worse that Anil Devgan's last directorial outing BLACKMAIL (Ajay Devgan, Suneil Shetty, Priyanka Chopra). What a shame since along with HAAL E DIL, some good music too would now go away unnoticed! ...

... HAAL E DIL has been down and out in it's second week with a mere 3 lakhs more taking the film's collections to only 46 lakhs. One wonders what would the DVD prospects of the film look like? DE TAALI too tanked badly and earned only 1 crore more to barely cross the 8 crore mark. With a 80% fall in it's second week, DE TAALI is a flop though it has done wonders for at least Riteish Deshmukh and Rimmi Sen. ...
