Most TAC Cup clubs feel an enormous sense of pride if they have two or three players selected in the annual AFL draft. But as the hours count down until this years event on November 25, the Murray Bushrangers stand on the verge of creating history. Not only do they have up to 10 players in the mix to be drafted or rookied, they could be the first junior club in known history to have six players drafted in the same year from the same part of the ground. On the Bushies list this year were likely first-round selections Todd Marshall and Jy Simpkin, as well as Zachary Sproule, Esava Ratugolea, Lachlan Tiziani and Trent McMullan, all of whom are rated good chances to find their way onto an AFL list either in the national or rookie draft.Aside from their talent-laden forward line, the club also boasted possible top-10 midfielder Will Brodie in their squad, as well as wingman Harry Morrison, key defender Ryan Garthwaite and ruckman Max Lynch. No wonder Murray made it all the way to the TAC Cup grand final before going down to Sandringham at Etihad Stadium.Long-time AFL draft guru Kevin Sheehan confirmed to ESPN that if the cards fell the right way, it would almost certainly be the first time six players from one part of the ground were drafted from the same club in one year.It would almost certainly be the first time its happened - if it does happen, the AFLs national and international talent manager?said.Any club that has five or six players drafted has done extraordinarily well and will lead the country [in terms of number of players drafted], so its set to be a huge haul for them. The Murray region is probably the most productive area for AFL talent Australia-wide in the past 20 years - its a real hot spot of talent. And it looks like this year theyre going to produce another bumper crop.[To have six forwards drafted] is an amazing achievement, if it does happen. Each of the sextet brings different attributes to the table.Marshall -- a former cricket prodigy who only decided to pursue a football career ahead of the 2016 season - is an athletic, 198cm tall forward likely to feature in the first round of the draft.Simpkin, a silky-skilled medium forward, is also a likely first-rounder despite missing nearly the entire season due to a horror broken leg.Sproule, a mobile key position player, is a GWS Academy prospect who can play at both ends of the ground.Tiziani, also linked to the GWS Academy, is a dynamic medium forward who shone through the second half of the season.Ratugolea is a powerfully built ruck/forward while McMullan is a former junior Australian basketballer who can also play as a key forward or ruckman. The man charged with overseeing such talent, Leon Higgins, said he knew he had an embarrassment of riches on his hands entering his first year as coach of the Bushrangers.Higgins, the former Sydney and Hawthorn midfielder, said he soon knew it was going to be difficult to fit all his options into the one part of the ground; indeed he was forced to play some of them in different positions for the betterment of the team, and the individuals. We did go into a lot of games with a tall forward line - that was part of the reason we moved Zac back. It was a good problem to have though, Higgins told ESPN.Its pretty exciting. I think we may have an even better year than 2008 [when star Bushrangers Jack Ziebell,?Steele Sidebottom,?Sam Wright and Tom Rockliff were drafted] - weve got eight to 10 draftable players in my opinion. But being the draft, you never know.ESPN AFL draft expert Christoper Doerre - aka Knightmare - on...Todd Marshall: A tall, athletic key forward with rare agility and ground-level ability. Lack of any dominant performances and lack of presence up forward has left club recruiters wondering.?Should still be drafted late in the first round. Jy Simpkin: He missed the season with injury but is one of this drafts precision kicks. Has pace and impacts scoreboard heavily off half-forward. Needs to prove he can make the jump from forward to midfielder but should be drafted in the first round.? Zachary Sproule: A mobile key position player with good running ability who spent periods forward but played much of the season down back due to Murrays glut of tall forwards. Lightly framed and lacks aggressiveness or hunger for the contest, but is still a chance in the second or third round.? Esava Ratugolea: Hes a powerfully built, athletic specimen who attacks every contest with enthusiasm and desire. Kicking and hands overhead need improvement.?A good chance to be drafted late or rookied. Lachlan Tiziani: Top-age medium forward who after switching forward from mid-June, became the TAC Cups premier goal kicker, booting 32 goals in his last nine games. Has a mix of ground level and marking ability, making him dangerous. Can improve endurance and forward pressure but is still a late draft or rookie chance. Trent McMullan: Former Australian junior basketballer who quit that sport for AFL. Top ager who finished the TAC Cup season strongly. High leaping forward who is strong overhead and a nice height.?Didnt receive a state or national combine invite, so might not be in the draft mix.Air Max 97 Schweiz Billig . LOUIS -- Mike Smith is used to facing plenty of shots, so this was nothing new.BALTIMORE -- Although the Boston Red Sox are the highest-scoring team in the majors, theyve relied heavily on their pitching to put together a momentum-changing winning streak.David Price allowed four hits before a rainstorm stopped play for good after six innings, and the Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 8-1 on Wednesday night for their sixth straight victory.Jackie Bradley Jr. homered and drove in four runs for the Red Sox, who swept the two-game series to climb past the Orioles into second place in the AL East.Boston had lost 13 of 20 before sweeping three from Arizona, topping Cleveland in a makeup game and twice casting aside Baltimore. Our starters have set the tone in this stretch, manager John Farrell said.Price (11-8) was cruising until a driving storm stopped play, and the game was finally called after a delay of 1 hour, 17 minutes.Price struck out four and walked none to earn his second victory in seven starts since July 10. The only run he allowed came on a second-inning homer by Chris Davis.Well go as far as the starters take us, and weve thrown the ball well as a group, the left-hander said.Boston outscored the Orioles 13-4 in the two games. We didnt pitch particularly well in certain spots, manager Buck Showalter conceded. The Orioles 39-19 home record is the best in the AL, but theyre 2-4 against Boston at Camden Yards. Baltimore, which had been in first or second place since opening day, dropped behind Toronto and the Red Sox.I mean its so close, the separation between the teams, Davis said. The important part is to keep going. There is still plenty of time left to regroup and get back on track.Baltimore rookie Dylan Bundy (6-4) entered with three straight wins and a 2.93 ERA, but the right-hander yielded five runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.I threw some good pitches and they still hit them, Bundy said. So, its just one of those nights. Just got to learn from iit and get better from here.ddddddddddddOrioles nemesis Mookie Betts went 2 for 3 with a walk and scored three runs. Betts is batting .440 with eight homers, 19 runs scored and 17 RBI in 12 games against Baltimore this season. The game turned in the third inning with the score tied at 1. Bundy awkwardly toppled off the mound chasing a grounder to the right side and appeared to twist his right ankle. He declared himself OK after taking a few warmup pitches, and play resumed with two outs and the bases empty.Bundy issued a two-out walk to Betts on a 3-2 count, and Bradley followed with a drive that cleared the wall in center field.Sandy Leon hit a two-run shot in the fifth and Bradley doubled in two runs in the sixth against Tyler Wright.MILESTONEFarrell picked up his 313th win as Red Sox manager, moving past Ralph Houk for sole possession of ninth place in club history.
