The Calor Village of the Year competition is open to all rural communities throughout Northern Ireland with a population of 4 Danilo Jersey UK ,500 or under. Building on the success of 2010’s Calor Rural Community Award, which recognised the smaller rural settlement, the 2011 competition heralds a change to the overall Calor Village of the Year accolade. This year Daniel Grimshaw Jersey UK , in its place, is the introduction of the Calor Village of the Year Small Community and Calor Village of the Year Large Community, with an equal prize fund allocated to each. The Calor Village of the Year Small Community is open to any village or rural community with a population of 1000 or less; and Calor Village of the Year Large Community is open to any village or rural community with a population between 1001 and 4500. The competition assesses communities on FIVE aspects of rural village life – namely -Building Community Life -Young People -Older People -Business -Environment. Although there will be five individual category winners remember only those villages who enter a minimum of three categories can be considered for the prestigious titles of 2011 Calor Village of the Year Small Community or Calor Village of the Year Large Community.
