CLEVELAND -- A medical examiner says a high school football player from suburban Cleveland who was hit in the abdomen during a game died two days later of a problem caused by a lacerated small intestine.The Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH-guh) County Medical Examiners Office says 17-year-old Andre Jackson died of peritonitis Sunday at Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital in Cleveland.A Euclid (YOO-klid) School District spokeswoman says the junior was involved in a collision during a punt play Friday in a game against Solon (SOH-lun) and walked to the teams sideline afterward.She says an ambulance took Jackson to a medical center in Beachwood, and he was discharged the next day.Both hospitals are in the University Hospitals system, and a spokeswoman says there will be a full review of the care Jackson received.
