Here’s the hottest news of the week and as always, it’s first on IndiaFM…
The Christmas week [21st December] was supposed to witness the clash of the mighty three -- WELCOME, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR and HALLA BOL -- but HALLA BOL has now decided to shift ahead, to 11th January, 2008. Reportedly, Ajay Devgan, who enacts the principal role, wasn’t too keen on the clash since the business would get divided. The actor voiced his concern to the distributors, Pyramid Saimira, who also felt that it was better to shift the film to the new date.
So, this Christmas, it’s WELCOME and TAARE ZAMEEN PAR finally.

From ‘Anarchism to Assassination’ from ‘Crime to Corruption’ & from ‘Law to Lies’
He may have committed professional hara-kiri with ‘Ram Gopal Verma ki Aag’ and ‘Cash’. But Ajay Devgan seems all set to regain the glory of ‘Gangaajal’ and ‘Apaharan’ with the action-packed, hard-hitting ‘Halla Bol’. A behind-the-scenes look at the Hindi film industry and how it changes the lives of those connected with it. The promos of this Rajkumar Santoshi film set for a December 21st release. Which are doing the rounds and from the look of it. The year promises to end on a high for all those associated with ‘Halla Bol’. The 64-second promo of ‘Halla Bol’ captures just what the film is meant to be. It’s Powerful, in your face, edge-of-the-seat stuff. The fact that the film uncovers the murky world of showbiz and shows the degeneration of Ajay’s character is evident from the outset of the promo. As a grim Devgan looks straight into the camera, a plethora of words make their way onto the screen. It’s from ‘Anarchism to Assassination’, from ‘Crime to Corruption’ and from ‘Law to Lies’. All powerful, laden terms followed by the lines ‘Now it’s time to live . .. to stand …. to fight ….. for what you believe’, giving the viewer an insight into what ‘Halla Bol’ is all about. The promo then cuts to a succession of images. A distraught Vidya Balan clutching on to a blood-spattered dupatta. A stern-looking Pankaj Kapoor and a huge crowd of rioting people. Blood, Murder, and Mayhem. The ‘Halla Bol’ promo has ample doses of it all. With Ajay waving to a mammoth mob amid the unending glare of flashbulbs. It’s time to raise your voice The promo ends with the words ‘It’s time to raise your voice’. A lot rides on the success of ‘Halla Bol’. If Ajay Devgan is hoping for a hit after a long gap, then Rajkumar Santoshi is eager to forget the Family fiasco. The film’s success will also complete a 2007 hat-trick for Vidya Balan after ‘Heyy Babyy’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. This movie is Produced by Abdol Samee Siddiqi, ‘Halla Bol’ music has been scored by Sukhwinder Singh.

Ashfaque struggles to give a creative vent to the actor in him in order to realize his dreams. Ashfaque's determined struggle pays off and he gets a break in films.

Soon, Ashfaque becomes Sameer Khan the superstar - one who can enact any role with finesse, get under the skin of any and every character with ease and walk away with audience applause.
Sadly, amidst all adulation and applause, he slowly loses his own identity. He forgets his real self. Corruption takes over his entire system, alienating him from all loved ones, including his wife Sneha (Vidya Balan).
