Characters:
Seher (Ayesha Takia) - she can imitate a thousand different cartoon characters and that's what makes her such a wanted dubbing artiste. Then she finds herself wanted in a different sense altogether - by gangsters, by taxi drivers and by the cops - as a murder suspect.

ACP Rajvir Randhava (Ajay Devgan) - He is brave, bad corrupt cop, who loves his ice cream cones as much as he loves chasing criminals. But what he loves most is letting them off for a hefty bribe! Then suddenly Rajvir finds himself embroiled in a murder mystery where the prime suspect is none other than his fiancee Seher.

Ballu Taxi driver (Arshad warsi) - His red Ambassador taxi is just like him - bright, optimistic and full of beans. He has no hassles about stuffing too many tourists into his taxi or giving a lift to a strange, giggling girl in the middle of the night. What does bug him is when the girl disappears without paying him his fare.

Kumar, ballu's buddy (Irfan Khan) - Ballu's bumchum and budding actor. He can play lawyer, Ravan, Dracula, Don at the drop of a hat, but when he meets a girl who claims she's a dead woman, he drops all his acts and scoots like hell.

Director Rohit Shetty's love for cinema can be witnessed from his genre of movies. After ZAMEEN & GOLMAAL the new one being SUNDAY in his kitty. His GOLMAAL changed geners totally and embarked on an out and out comedy with a multitude of stars. With SUNDAY he does a suspense comedy, as full of twists as it's full of laughs.

The Story
A dead body found floating in a lake... Unexplained scratch marks on her neck... Supari killers out to kill her... A taxi driver who yells 'bhoot, bhoot' every time he sees her... Seher, a versatile dubbing artiste, gets first amused then mystified and then terrified when she realizes she has a connection with all these totally uncanny unconnected array of incidents. But unpalatable part is she cannot remember anything. Her fiancé ACP Rajvir Randhava is convinced that Seher is innocent, but he is equally sure that she is linked to everything but at the same time she cannot remember anything.

Then another dead body is found. And the bracelet found near the corpse belongs to Seher. The evidence is mounting and all the fingers point at Seher. And still, Seher does not remember anything.

Is Seher really as innocent as she claims to be?

A dubbing artiste by day, is she also a serial killer by night? Is her bubbly charm but a mask that hides her darker, meanacing self?
As Seher desperately fights the fog that clouds her treacherous memory, ACP Rajivir has to fight the fact that the woman he wants to marry well be a murderer and worse...

EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI

After making an actioner Zameen and comedy Golmaal, Rohit Shetty is back with a star studded ‘Sunday’, comprising of names like Ajay Devgan, Ayesha Takia, Arshad Warsi and Irrfan Khan in pivotal roles.

The music of Sunday is already catching up with songs like Missing Sunday, Pyar To Hona Hi Hai and Manzar being liked by the young generation.

The storyline of Sunday revolves around mysterious Sehar (Ayesha Takia), who has lost a Sunday of her life. She has zero clue about what happened on that day and then, she gets clue about the likelihood of an attack on her.

In order to get the details out, she calls up the cops and ACP Rajveer (Ajay Devgan) personally takes charge of the case. He starts pinning up the loose ends of the case in process of solving the mystery of that missing Sunday in Sehar’s life.

He interacts with a number of people who met Sehar on that day. These include the taxi driver Ballu (Arshad Warsi), Ballu’s friend Kumar (Irrfan Khan) who is a struggling actor in the National School of Drama and Sehar’s close friend Ritu (Anjana Sukhani).

This list also includes the people whom Sehar had met while partying in a discotheque on that Sunday.

During the investigation, Rajveer comes across a murder which point Sehar as the prime suspect. Now, the entire mystery revolves around that particular Sunday and Sehar’s intention.

Is Sehar’s life really in sort of a danger or is she trying to play innocent to hide her dark side? Watch out for the mystifying Sunday.

Irrfan Khan, Arshad Warsi and Ajay Devgan in a still from the film Sunday. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty of Golmaal fame.
Ajay Devgan and Ayesha Takia team up together for the first time in Sunday. The film's story revolves around a fateful Sunday.
After his critically-acclaimed performance in Gangajal, Ajay Devgan plays a top cop again in Sunday, in which he has to investigate a case against his own girlfriend(played by Ayesha Takia).
The film also stars Irrfan Khan and Arshad Warsi, who play best buddies.
Esha Deol has a special appearance in the film and will be seen in an item song for the first time.
The film hits theatres on Friday, January 25.
