The producer director duo of Abbas Mustan is all set to revive their project 'Mr. Fraud'. The film which boasts of a star cast consisting of Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Bipasha Basu, Anuj Sawhney and Tanusree Dutta is believed to have been completed 60 per cent before the work on it was halted.
The film's shooting was disrupted in 2007 following Sanju's legal case and it never took off after that as Abbas Mustan themselves became very busy with films like 'Naqaab' and 'Race' and 'Mr. Fraud' kept getting pushed back. Now it seems that Aabas Mustan are keen to revive the movie and shoot the remaining portions in March next year. Thankfully most of the major portions of the movie, especially those with the entire cast, have already been shot. Most of the movie, which is being produced by Shree Ashtavinayak, has been shot in London and Mumbai. The frauds in the movie are played by Sanju and Sawhney.
Devgn and Co wish the Indian cricket team ahead of Champions Trophy with a music video
Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu, Fardeen Khan and Mugdha Godse have shot for a cricket video wishing the Indian cricket team all the best for the forthcoming Champions Trophy.
Ajay is cricket-crazy, has a huge plasma TV installed in his van and watches matches in between shooting. It was his idea to wish the Indian cricket team before they started the Champions Trophy in South Africa, which starts next week.
Let's cheer 'em Says a source, "He told the director Rohit Shetty that Indian cricketers are always been criticised, and we should contribute to encouraging them. Also since his film is called All The Best, they decided to shoot a music video around that. ESPN was very happy with the catchy song and has already started showing it on their channel."
Rohit Shetty says, "We shot the video in Filmistan. It's a special promo on cricket with the stars wearing masks of different cricketers and cheering the cricketers. The song is meant to wish the Indian cricketers before every game. It's an association between the channel and All The Best team. They wanted to me to direct the promo for the Championship Trophy."
Rohit adds, "The cast wishes the cricket team and says 'yeh diwali hogi cupwali' and then they start dancing to the title track." Seema Desai had choreographed the video while Pritam has given the music. All the dancers are wearing the Indian cricket team's outfits. It has been shot against the background of a cricket stadium shot with over 100 dancers.
MUMBAI: After the revising committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to clear the promotion of Vipul Shah's film London Dreams, the director has moved the Appellate Tribunal to seek its clearance.
The case's hearing was held in New Delhi on Wednesday morning. According to a source, "The promo of the film had Salman Khan walk into a rock show and recite the hanuman chalisa. Some members of the committee felt it is not appropriate to be part of a rock band song and asked the producer to delete it. Shah was not in favour of deleting that bit and has now appealed to the tribunal."
However, when asked about the case, Shah said, "It is not true and only a piece a gossip."
Shah's film is a musical starring Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. The two play musicians who struggle to become rockstars in London.
CBFC has been very particular about not hurting religious sentiments and scrutinises films keeping this in mind. Just a little while ago, a Hindu religious had objected to wedding mantras being recited in Kambakht Ishq. Also, a Sikh group recently objected to Saif Ali Khan's beard in Love Aaj Kal and the pagdi sign in the title of the film Dil Bole Hadippa.
The shooting of Prakash Jha’s upcoming movie Rajneeti at a hospital in Bhopal was cancelled following the protest by an organisation working for the Bhopal gas victims. The organisation alleged that Jha’s unit had ordered the patients to leave the hospital to facilitate the shooting of a scene . The shoot was cancelled after a number of patients at the Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre complained of being asked to allegedly leave the facility to facilitate shooting. Jabbar, who led the protest, also spoke to former Chief Justice of India, A M Ahmadi, who is the chairman of the hospital, following which the filming proposed to be carried out in the operation theatre and the Critical Care unit was stopped.
“There was no way in which the film could be shot at the hospital,” Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila Udyog Sangthan Convenor Abdul Jabbar said, adding he was surprised that the hospital administration had given permission for shooting. Jabbar said that according to his information, the shoot was to be held for two days, showing a sequence where Nana Patekar suffers a heart attack and is treated at the hospital. The film, which stars Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgan and Arjun Rampal in lead roles, is about contemporary electoral politics in India.
Ajay Devgn and Ram Gopal Varma met up at Kadaikudi last week and patched up after a two-year gap. They even have discussed doing a film together.
After the release of RGV Ki Aag, the actor was upset with the director, as he felt that what was narrated and what had appeared on the screen were totally different. The actor felt that Ramu had paid more attention to his heroine Nisha (now Priyanka) Kothari and had sidelined his character.
The frosty relationship between Ramu and Ajay was further exacerbated due to certain misunderstandings created by Ajay's business manager Kumar Mangat Pathak.
Over the years, Ramu attempted to patch things up many times. He offered to meet up with Ajay over dinner a few times, but the actor backed out every time at the last moment. After some time, the director gave up trying to mend bridges.
Breaking the ice Recently, they came face-to-face in Kadaikudi. This was the first informal meeting they had in two years. Ramu had dropped in to meet Surya (who is shooting with Ajay) to discuss dates for his next film Rakta Charitra.
Initially there was awkwardness between Ramu and Ajay but as the day progressed, they were back to their old equation. When Ramu asked Ajay why he hadn't kept in touch, he brushed it off saying he'd been busy shooting his home production and other films.
The source adds, "Now Ramu is keen to do a film with Ajay, who has promised to read his script after returning to Mumbai. After giving hits like Company and Bhoot, Aag ruined things for this hit actor-director jodi. But now they are back together and planning something big."
Ram Gopal Varma and Ajay Devgan remained unavailable for comment.
Ajay Devgan was a victim of a 'sting operation'. The actor, who was at his Karjat farmhouse, was stung by bees! His place has several beehives in the vicinity. On Monday, a huge number of honeybees got into action and stung his hand. Last seen his hand was full of red sting marks! Here's wishing him All The Best for a speedy recovery.

Ajay Devgn’s six-year-old daughter Nysa is a big Sachin Tendulkar fan. When she was driving past Mumbai the other day, seated next to the actor, the little girl pointed to a Sachin hoarding and said, “There’s Sachin – I like him.” When Ajay asked why she loved Sachin knowing very well that Nysa was too young to know about cricket and the cricketing legend’s achievements, young Nysa surprised him by saying, “I like Sachin because he sells the same biscuits that I eat.” What Nysa meant was that Sachin endorses the same brand of biscuits that she eats and that’s her connect with the superstar batsman. Looks like Ajay need not worry about losing a fan at home.

By Eugene Desiree Mumbai: Some of our Bollywood babes are also going back to their cities to attend the celebrations. Actor Rani Mukherji was also there but Bipasha taking the blessings of Maa Durga at the Mukherjee’s Puja, with her co-actor Аjay Devgan and his wife Kajol.
Bipasha and Ajay Devgn are waiting for the release of their film All The Best - Fun Begins, which is slotted for a Diwali release.
Bipasha, who couldn’t attend to the puja at Kolkatta says “Durga Puja is a festival that is an intrinsic part of all Bengalis. Ma Durga gives me the strength to be myself. If I don’t give anjali on ashtami, I feel very sad.”
Bips adds “It is my connect with my childhood memories….During Durga Puja we used to get new clothes and extra pocket money. All of us kids would cut fruit, make chandan (sandalwood) paste, distribute prasad and bhog in the pada (community) and lots of adda (chats) over the sound of the dhak and the dhol.”
She says further, “I miss the Kolkata Puja and I try and take darshan at the local pandals of Mumbai each year. This year John, my didi, nephew Anitej and niece Nia were with me. We missed my parents and my younger sister Vijayeta who are in the United Kingdom currently.”
Mumbai: After playing a model coping up with the harsh realities of the glamour world in `Fashion`, actress Mugdha Godse has revealed that it was difficult dabbling in comedy for her upcoming film, `All The Best`.
"In the beginning, it was a bit tough for me to play a comic character. But once I got into the skin of the character, then there was no looking back," Mugdha told reporters.
Mugdha plays an ultra superstitious girl-next-door in her upcoming Rohit Shetty`s `All The Best`, which is set for a Diwali release.
"She is very superstitious. She wears all sorts of stones, practises Japanese, Veddic sciences, and depends upon them for even mundane decisions. These very factors give birth to comic situations in the movie," Mugdha said.
The 24-year-old model-turned actress said that her director and co-stars Fardeen Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu, Ajay Devgan helped her to get the hold of her character.
"Once I got into the groove, everything was then okay and I started enjoying it," she added.
"Off camera too we had fun. Basically, it used to be a youthful talk. Ajay used to narrate his experiences and how shooting styles have changed and so on," Mugdha said.
Although the actress is not that superstitious in personal life but she does have her beliefs.
"I am not superstitious, but I have my set of beliefs. Anything that crosses a limit or is in excess is not good. Then it becomes over the top," she said.
Talking about her second release of the year, `Jail` starring Niel Nitin Mukesh, Mugdha termed the experience of working with filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar again as "fantastic".
"Working with Madhur again was fantastic. Working with the same director on a different genre was exciting," she said.
"Basically it was the same team for a new and very different project. While in `Fashion`, I was in full make-up, in `Jail`, I play a complete shy, coy girl devoid of any," the actress said.
On her future projects, Mugdha said that time and again she has been quizzed about her role in a movie called `Raas Leela`, which she has never signed.
"I do not know anything about it. Some website has put it in my filmography. However, I wish to clarify, I have never signed any such movie," she said.
Ajay Devgan and Ranbir Kapoor are as different as chalk and cheese so what in Gods name could they possibly have in common?
Apparently they both have the same on-screen name in their respective forthcoming films! And the icing on the cake is that the common name is the very name of the Bollywood baddie of yesteryears– Prem Chopra!
While Ajay Devgan will be wooing Bipasha Basu in the comic caper “All The Best’, Ranbir will be romancing Katrina in “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ where its not his screen name, but he uses it in a gag.
Well looks like both the actors will definitely be living it up in true villainous style!
Bollywood actress Kajol recently attended an exhibition for a social cause. As it is rightly said that Charity begins at home, so was the case with Kajol. She bought many things for her daughter Nysa and whatever amount she paid was meant for charity. During the event Kajol even spoke about her dear hubby Ajay Devgan on his upcoming home-production All The Best. When asked her come back in My Name is Khan, Kajol said, what does it meantake a look!
Kajol will be seen onscreen in My Name Is Khan in early 2010, almost two years after her last release, U, Me Aur Hum. But the actress can't stand people calling her next release a 'comeback film'. The reason for her irritation is that she had to answer queries related to her 'comeback' even when U, Me Aur Hum was set to hit theatres.
Kajol snaps back when quizzed about it and has an answer ready.
"What does the word comeback mean?" she asks.
Well, to be honest to the actress, she actually doesn't need a 'comeback' film, considering that she has been very much in the limelight with her numerous advertisements and charities.
Besides, she has also been helping hubby Ajay Devgan promote his production All The Best, set to release this Diwali.
Recently, Kajol was spotted at an event held for Save The Girl Child in Mumbai, where she shopped for darling daughter Nysa.
"She loves anything with strawberry and apple. I bought some perfumes for her," says the doting mother.
So, despite not acting in films, Kajol has been all around and for those wanting to ask about her forthcoming films, the message is clear-phrase the question in such a way that the word ' comeback film' doesn't come in between.
Recently, Rani Mukherji, who was seen on the silver screen in Dil Bole Hadippa after a long time, had fumed when media reports had talked about the film as her 'comeback'. My Name Is Khan will bring together the hit pairing of Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan after seven years.
The hot couple recently shot for the second anniversary issue of Vogue magazine and their chemistry was as crackling as ever! As King Khan doesn't like shooting 'covers' per se, this was undoubtedly a special effort on his part.
Earlier, SRK's wife Gauri was on the cover of the magazine too.

The southern sally, Asin, of Bollywood is soon going to be seen in an avatar never been tested in the Indian waters before. From being the bubbly girl next door in Ghajini she's all out to take your breath away in London Dreams. We give you the lowdown.
One look at the stills of London Dreams, it's not hard to imagine what Asin is bringing to the table. It's a far cry from her past roles of a sweet young girl, who couldn't even dream to hurt a fly. This one sure means business. It's outdoorsy, edgy and comes in with bucketful of attitude.
Priya, the character played by Asin in the film is of a girl belonging to a south Indian family but is born and brought up in London. Her love for music and dance is what makes her part of a rock band by the name of 'London Dreams'. Considering this Ghajini girl has always been seen as the 'girl next door', director Vipul Shah puts all doubts to rest as while explaining her latest transformation to a rocker girl. States Vipul, "In Ghajini, everyone saw Asin's acting capabilities, in my film everyone will see her dancing skills, not only classical but even western." He continues, "Madhuri had the 'girl next door' quality, so do Rani and Priyanka, but they all are capable of looking sensuous and sexy. Asin also has an added advantage of her freshness".
Vipul wanted to cast a new face opposite Salman and Ajay, a lady who they have never romanced onscreen and Asin seemed just the fit. A film based on the love for music, Asin would be seen as a dancer who has two sides to her onscreen life. A traditional girl at home and a rockstar outside while pursuing her dreams. Ashley Rebello who styled these two different looks for Asin explains, "She plays a dual girl in the film. So for the homely girl, I kept a very conservative look with zardozi border and a very simple look while for the other side of her I kept it very gothic, kajal eyed, put together look."
The rockstar look wasn't an easy one to come about as Vipul reveals, "It took us six styling tests before we finalised this look. It took us six different photo shoots, but I am happy with the final outcome." The look was inspired by Avril Lavigne, the popular teen singing diva. Adds Ashley, "I took inspiration from her long black hair and kajal lined eyes." The look is definitely very gothic, and Ashley did accessorise her in a way that isn't too in your face, yet adds to her punk character in the film. Ashley explains, "I gave her a lot of bangles, played around with ganji's and jackets, those 70's headbands and fishnet stockings."
For Asin, who has never carried such a look before, she had complete faith in Ashley's capabilities. "She trusted me completely and in fact we shopped together in London, along with my nieces who are from the U.K and Rinkie Khanna who everyone knows is a style icon," Ashley says. Even though the audience do have an image of Asin being a simple Indian girl Ashley was unperturbed by that. "I was not concerned by her image, I just knew she has to look like the girl from London."
Both Ashley and Vipul are happy with the way Asin's character has come out finally and can't wait for the audience's reaction which they are confident is going to be positive. As Ashley himself experienced, "I took some pictures of Asin after I styled her and showed it to my friends, they were really impressed with her new look."

Mugdha Godse stormed into Bollywood last Diwali from the fashion world, and is back this Diwali with Rohit Shetty’s ‘All The Best’. She’s excited about her first ‘comedy’ outing, she says
Mugdha, we would like to know about your role in ‘All The Best I play this very superstitious girl ‘Vidya’ in ‘All The Best’. Vidya is very much into lucky charms, stones etc. How this creates confusion is the funny part. Vidya is the mad and funny character in the movie. You all are going to love her.
So are there any similarities between ‘Vidya’ and ‘Mugdha’? Oh, no! I do wear rings, visit temples, but that’s it. I am not superstitious about it. The only thing common between me and Vidya is that we both are honest and never give up.
What was your reason for accepting ‘All The Best’? It was the first time a comedy was offered to me, so I was thrilled. Also, the script was fantastic, so was my role and the rest of the cast and banner. There was no reason to refuse such a fantastic film.
So, with whom did you bond best on the set? I bonded differently with everyone. It was perfect bonding. Ajay told us about his earlier days, it was quite a learning experience. He was totally chilled out. He played a perfect host to all of us since he is also producing the movie.
Any memorable moments while filming? Shooting for ‘All The Best’ was a one big memorable experience. Especially when we were shooting for the climax. There were around 16 people on the set in one hall. It was fun. When we called for break, it was like a big ‘tea party’.
Did you experience any of Ajay’s pranks? I had heard so much about it, that I was always on my guard. Whenever I used to get an early call sheet or unexpected late night call sheet, I used to wonder if it’s a prank. But may be he was busy playing the producer, so we were spared from his pranks.
How is it between you and Bipasha? Bipasha and I had a blast shooting for the movie. We met a couple of times during the promotion of the movie. When Bipasha heard about these rumours, she said ‘Welcome to the industry. They either link you with somebody or they will make you fight with each other’. She is very sweet and we had fun.
When you accepted ‘All The Best’, did it bother you that you might get sidelined by well-known faces? My experience with ‘Fashion’ is that if you are good, you stand out. It’s a bonus to have big stars as they help you to give your best. Recently, when I was travelling, I met a fan who told me, “You were fantastic in ‘Fashion’, and now we are anxious to see you in ‘All The Best’.” I am happy that people are appreciating fresh talent.
Why should the audience watch ‘All The Best’? It’s an out and out family entertainment film. Everybody is in the festive mood, it’s a perfect atmosphere to watch a fun, comedy movie with the entire family. The movie has the big names in Bollywood, so it’s a must watch this season.
What’s your plan for Diwali? God has been very kind to me, last Diwali it was ‘Fashion’ and this Diwali it will be ‘All The Best’ and ‘Jail’. I am looking forward to it. I will go to Pune to spend some quality time with my family and have a blast.
When was the last time when you really needed everyone to wish you ‘All The Best’? Last time, it was before the release of ‘Fashion’. It was my debut on the ‘big’ screen and I was very nervous. So I desperately wanted everyone to give me their best wishes. Even now I need everyone’s best wishes since first time I am doing comedy genre, and I wish that audience will accept me in this time too!!
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs is now days seeing many celebs from the B-town. So even for this weekend Li’l champs will see some taare on the sets as there is a long queue of celebrities marking their presence this weekend. As we all know that for this Friday Sanju Baba and Ajay Devgan are all set to enter Li’l champs to say All The Best to the participants, but what about Saturday?
“Lara Dutta and Sohail Khan will be the guest for this coming Saturday,” Chirps the little birdie. “They are on the show as the celebrity guest for promoting their up coming movie “Do Knot Disturb”, source added.
“It was fun to shoot with Lara and Sohail as they too enjoyed the company our of li’l participants. The duo stars were is a happy mood and had a gala time on the sets of the show as they promoted their up coming flick in between,” khabroo concludes.
So let’s get ready to have “double dhamaka” on this Friday and Saturday with stunt man- Ajay Devgan, Sanju Baba, beautiful- Lara Dutta and handsome- Sohail Khan as they accompanies our little champs. Tejashree
