To pay tribute to the Father of the nation, who would have been a better choice than our Sanju Baba – the munnabhai who once again renewed the vigor and spirit of Gandhism and Ahimsa amongst the youth of today. And accompanying him was a prankster who’s is dreaded in the industry for his mischievous pranks and practical jokes. – Ajay Devgan. Both the actors were called upon as the guest on the popular singing show ‘Little Champs’.
In spite of being unwell and suffering from 103 degrees fever, Sanju baba kept his word and made it for the shoot albeit little late. And his good friend Ajay Devgan waited for him patiently for almost 4 hours. It was a fun filled episode with Ajay hell bent on spoiling the kids and Sanju baba teaching them Gandhism.
For the very first time, instead of boys v/s girls, the team was divided into ‘Shariif kids v/s Naughty kids”. Amongst all the fun and masti, Sanju baba also made a good use of his vocal chords and sang his old favourite “ae shivani”.
Everybody paid tribute to Gandhiji in this unique way. Sanjay Dutt got pretty emotional when Dhairya spoke about his dad, late Sunil Dutt. “Maine bahut dukh aur takleefein jhelin hai life mein but I have got all the strength from my father…”

Miffed at not being given as much prominence as Akshay Kumar in the promos of Blue, Sanjay Dutt gives a miss to the shooting of the song Fiqrana
Although Sanjay Dutt plays the protagonist in the forthcoming film Blue, it is Akshay Kumar, who plays the antagonist, who has been given far more prominence in the film. This has angered Sanjay so much that he has completely washed his hands of the promotions of Blue, which releases on October 16. Sanjay will instead focus on Ajay Devgan’s All The Best, which releases on the same day.
According to sources, Akshay was given more importance in the promo on the insistence of the music company T Series’s head honcho Bhushan Kumar. Bhushan called up the film’s director Tony D’Souza to highlight Akshay’s presence in the film.
The emotional Sanjay, who is known to go out on a limb for friends and struggling directors, has taken this snub to heart. To top it, when Sanjay read about Tony’s next film featuring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, he couldn’t resist calling up the director to say that he was very hurt at not being part of Tony’s next project.
As a result, Sanjay is also missing from Blue’s promotional song, Fiqrana, which was shot last month.
Director Tony D’Souza confirms Sanjay’s absence from the song. He says, “It’s true that Sanjay didn’t participate in the shooting of the Fiqrana song in Blue. I’ve no clue why didn’t turn up. It’s also true that Sanjay sir called me when he read about my next film with Akshay and John. I told him there was no role for him at the moment and that I’m trying my best to include him in my forthcoming film.”
But the wounded Sanjay isn’t biting the bait. A source says, “As far as Mr Dutt is concerned, Blue is done and over with. He has moved on.
However, he will be doing a lot of promotional activities for All The Best, in which he plays the central part. It was very sporting of Ajay Devgan to let Sanjay Dutt take centre stage although Ajay is the film’s producer.”

Prakash Jha is ready to shoot Rajneeti but his cast is missing in action. Having an ensemble cast for his project is proving to be daunting for combination dates. A schedule slated to roll last week has been pushed to October 12.
The film's leading cast, including Ajay Devgan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Manoj Bajpayee are busy with their other commitments. This has led to a shuffle of dates involving them.
Says a unit source, "For continuity reasons, the film can only be shot in Bhopal. As it is a large cast, obtaining the combination dates of all of them is quite a task. Left with no choice, the shoot schedules are being reworked."
Ranbir flew into Bhopal on Saturday for the shoot as earlier he was busy with the promotions of Wake Up Sid. It is learnt that Devgan is tied up with his production All The Best and is staying put in Mumbai till the film releases on October 16.
Moreover, the actor will not be shooting for Rajneeti for at least over a week even after his film releases. Apparently, he is slated to shoot only after Oct 25. Katrina, too, has been busy with the promotions of Ajab Prem Ke Ghazab Kahani while Manoj Bajpayee with Acid Factory.
Jha however maintains, "My film has an ensemble cast so I have been shooting with different set of actors throughout. I don't need everyone to be present every day. When there are gaps in the shoot, they are free to pursue their other commitments."
He says Devgan shot with him for five days recently and will be back when he needs him. "Ranbir and Katrina are shooting presently with me. There is no delay or postponement in the schedules of Rajneeti. Everything is on course."
übersetzt von soulsurfer: Die Dreharbeiten von RAJNEETI mussten von Ende September auf Mitte Oktober verschoben werden, weil die beteiligten Schauspieler anderen Verpflichtungen nachkommen mussten.

The TV promotions of Vipul Shah’s London Dreams where Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan are styled like rock stars, headbanging on stage, seem eerily familiar to the 2008 Arjun Rampal starrer Rock On!!. Shah is quick to protest. “Just because the actors are singing on stage doesn’t mean it’s a remake of Rock On!!. In my film, music forms the backdrop against which friendship is tested,” explains the filmmaker in between wrapping up post-production work of the film which releases on October 30.
The two seasoned actors, Devgan and Khan, will be acting together after a gap of 10 years and the film will also mark Asin Thottumkal’s second stint in Bollywood. “Ghajini was a Tamil remake. But this is an original, an out-and-out commercial Hindi film and feels more like a debut for me,” says Asin, 24.
The film revolves around the musical aspirations of two childhood friends from rural Punjab. While one of them migrates to London and becomes a success with his own pop-band, the other’s more charming personality threatens his friend’s success.
Shah’s last film was Namastey London and his new film will be his first without his favourite khiladi Akshay Kumar. Though he had initially approached Kumar for the role, they agreed that the character’s graph would be too repetitive for Kumar. “Ajay filled in superbly as the replacement for Akshay’s character,” says Shah.
Asin exudes admirable confidence for a girl who has just stepped into Bollywood. She was confidence personified while working with Aamir Khan in her first Hindi film Ghajini. And not once did she feel nervous while sharing the screen space with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan - both many years senior to her - in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s musical love story London Dreams, which is set to release on October 30.
“When I go on the sets, I forget all my inhibitions. When I was working with Ajay and Salman, I didn't feel any pressure, maybe because they themselves did not behave like stars and threw no starry tantrums,” Asin is quoted as saying by a news agency.
Far from getting scared by her senior co-actors, Asin bonded well with them and learnt a few things.
“When you work with such dedicated actors, you also do your job well and try to learn whatever you can. But there was no intimidation... I was not scared or anything to work with them. They are experienced but also make you feel very comfortable,” Asin added.
As someone who has made all the right moves in Bollywood so far, Asin said what made her sign ‘London Dreams’ was its starcast, her character Priya, and of course the director, Vipul Shah.
“When the film was offered to me, I was keen to do it because I had worked with a star like Aamir in my first Hindi venture and in this one there were two stars; so that was a 'double dhamaka'...Apart from that I loved my character Priya…and also a filmmaker like Vipul Shah is making the film,” Asin revealed.
The movie is the story of two friends who dream of making it big in the music industry in London. Asin plays their common love interest.

Post Golmaal Returns, everyone expected Ajay Devgn (that's how his surname is spelt now) and director Rohit Shetty to start work on Golmaal 3. Instead, the duo joined hands and started All The Best. " Golmaal 3 is definitely up next, but I wanted to make another entertainer before I made the third installment in the Golmaal series," Rohit Shetty tells me.
Ajay seconds it. "We had planned All The Best even before Golmaal Returns had released. Golmaal is a brand and there has to be a gap between the instalments," Ajay states.
But one thing that Ajay and Rohit were sure of is that their new film had to release in Diwali. "We didn't know how we'd achieve it, but we were keen on releasing the film during the festival of lights, like Golmaal Returns," Rohit reveals.
There were a lot of 'obstacles' when they began shooting, like Sanju's tryst with politics, Fardeen deciding to opt out when his father's health started deteriorating and Mugdha meeting with an accident on the Mumbai - Pune expressway. "Then there were forecasts of heavy rains in Goa," Rohit was worried. But things fell into place and Rohit wrapped the shoot in a record three months.
Rohit and Ajay don't rule out All The Best 2, if the first part succeeds. "A lot of people are curious to know if we have plans to make a sequel to the film. This, even though All The Best is not yet released. That only shows the level of excitement is tremendous," Ajay and Rohit echo. If that happens, Rohit would be the first director in India to have two brands under his belt – Golmaal and All The Best.
While on Ajay Devgn, the talented actor is all set to start his next directorial assignment, after the superbly-crafted U Me Aur Hum, next year. "I haven't decided on the genre of the film yet, but I'd like to make a film that also has a message to convey. It would be commercially viable, that's for sure," he divulges.

NEW DELHI/MUMBAI: With three big-ticket movies set to release this Diwali weekend, multiplex owners are hopeful that it will help them tide over the losses made due to IPL and the producers strike early this year. Industry players estimate that a little less than Rs 200 crore is riding on the three flicks—Ashtavinayak Cine Vision-produced Blue, UTV Motion Pictures’ Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Ajay Devgan’s All The Best.
Akshay Kumar-Sanjay Dutt starrer Blue’s advance bookings of tickets opened at the beginning of this week, while the other two movies are expected to open advance bookings by Sunday.
“Diwali weekend is a perfect time to release a movie to cash on the festivity euphoria as well as reach audience on a long holiday weekend. Last year we did it with Golmaal Returns and we hope this Diwali weekend’s business will be bigger than last year,” says Rupen Amlani director-marketing & distribution at Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision.
Despite all three being big-banner films competing with each other, producers are confident that each of them will attract an audience.
“Disposable income increases during the festive season so the moviegoer will see more than just one film. The audience may get fragmented but the positives of releasing on Diwali certainly outstrips the negatives. The simple and most important thing for the moviegoer is that he/she must get tickets for the film,” says Siddharth Roy Kapur, chief executive officer , UTV Motion Pictures.
The availability of tickets will depend on the number of shows that theatres allot to the films. This time, no film is getting a preference in terms of number of shows. Theatres are giving equal number of shows to all films as all three flicks are of different genres - All the Best is a comedy while Blue is a action film and Main Aur Mrs Khanna is being positioned as a romantic film.
Says Rohit Shetty director of All the Best, “The revenues would be divided between the three movies in the first weekend. But its the revenues generated in the second week that will determine which movie is liked more by the audience.”
The festive season will also witness a number of brand associations between advertisers and movies. While Blue has had an advertising tie-up with FedEx, it had promotional tie-ups with Imperial Blue as well as Red Bull among others.
Producers of All the Best are riding on the cricket euphoria with a promotional tie-up with ESPN Champions League T20. UTV has tied up with VIP Industries to promote Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Gitanjali Jewellery is the partner for the film’s city tours.
PVR Cinemas’ senior executive said that 15-20 % of the total capacity available for Blue in all its theatres across cities has been already booked by movie goers for the weekend.
Mumbai: Vipuls Shah’s London Dreams brings Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan together after years.
As both Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan were busy in their individual films and had to take time out to do the scenes together. London Dreams would bring them back after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999.
Vipul Sha says “I never cast them because I wanted to repeat the Hum Dil… magic”.
He adds “In fact, it didn’t even occur to me that the two hadn’t been together in a film since. I wanted Ajay for his intensity and Salman for his madness and after I cast them, someone pointed out the casting coup of sorts.”
He further says, “Also, not many know that Salman and Ajay are great friends in real life and have immense respect for each other. They aren’t very overt about it but they share amazing vibes”.

The comedy caper ALL THE BEST coming from the Ajay Devgn Ffilms banner, that hits screens this Diwali has been given a U/A certificate as per the censor board.
ALL THE BEST, a rib-tickling comedy resulting from mistaken identities & hilarious goof-ups marks the lethal combination of Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty once again, after last year's smash hit GOLMAAL RETURNS.
Director Rohit Shetty packs in some breath-taking locales, extravagant sets & a carnival of colours while the movie stars the biggies which include Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu, Fardeen Khan and Mugdha Godse.
The music that has been topping the charts have been composed by Pritam while the choreography has been done by Bosco Ceaser and Raju Khan.
It’s worth calling as an unexpected wonder in B-town. Of course, Ajay Devgn hadn’t shown keen interest on walking ramps though there’ve been many offers. But here comes the biggest astonishment as the sources have revealed that Ajay will walk the ramp for Salman Khan for his ‘Being Human’ brand from October 11-16.
Since, it’s the first time for Ajay Devgn, he feel quite reluctant to speak about it, but seems to be much gleeful for his active participation for a good cause. The other superstars walking the ramp for Sallu Bhai will be Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol.
Meanwhile, there is whole lot of ramp manias coming up as Shah Rukh will walk for Karan Johar’s latest collections and his wife Gauri Khan will accompany him.

Next week's big Diwali release, All The Best, finds itself in the middle of an uncalled for controversy. Apparently, producer Karan Ramsay (of Om Films Company) has filed a copyright infringement suit against actor and producer Ajay Devgn over the script of the film.-
Ramsay claims that the script of All The Best is almost the same as his under-production film called Uncle Samjha Karo. He has even gone on to mention that he had purchased the copyright of his film's script from writer Paritosh Painter in November 2006. Ramsay further adds that in 2007, Paritosh Painter had tried to get back the copyright of the script from him but in the arbitration process that followed, the IMPPA ruled the case in his favour thereby declaring Ramsay as the owner of the copyright.
Devgn films meanwhile claim that their film is based on the American play 'Right Bed Wrong Husband' and that they had in fact acquired the script from an American firm for $40000. Devgn is even livid at the fact that despite knowing all this long before, Ramsay files a petition only at the last minute close to his film's release.
When we tried to contact Devgn Films, their spokesperson said, "Right now we are in Delhi for the promotions of our film. The matter is currently in court and we would not like to comment on anything at this point of time. We should get a clearer picture by Monday."
One will have to wait and watch if the makers of All The Best are able to come out of this soup in a clean way.

The last two times that Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar met, the result has been more or less in the favour of the 'Khiladi'. This may sound a bit too confusing for those who are not very aware of the clashes between their films in the past, so will make it clear and support our theory with data.
The year was 2000, when Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar clashed head to head. The first time that their films clashed was on August 11, when Akshay Kumar's DHADKAN released along side Ajay Devgan's DEEWANE. Both the films were quite hyped and saw the action stars in romantic roles. Though both DHADKAN and DEEWANE started off on a slow note, DHADKAN picked up and did a very steady business and Akshay was accepted as an all out romantic hero, despite his strong action image. Here we must mention that he was well supported by Sunil Shetty in a lovable negative role that won him quite a few awards.
Next time the clash was not head on, as Devgan's high budget family drama, RAJU CHACHA, starring Kajol released on December 20, 2000, around a week ahead of Akshay's KHILADI 420, which released on December 29th. And once again the "Khiladi' was in tremendous form as he overtook Devgan's well made but somewhat kiddish RAJU CHACHA. Though KHILADI 420 eventually could not sustain and failed after the good opening, but it did crush any hopes of Ajay's RAJU CHACHA doing favorable business in its second week.
This 'Diwali' Ajay and Akshay meet once again, and both the stars have the support of massive star cast, tremendous hype, chartbusting music and blitzkrieg promotion. From the buzz it appears that both BLUE and ALL THE BEST...FUN BEGINS look set for a good fight at the ticket window and let's see who the eventual winner is.
Though BLUE is carrying a tremendous hype, but Ajay and the rest of the star cast have really upped the tempo where promotion of ALL THE BEST is concerned, so may be Ajay will be lucky this time against Akshay.
Dostana became a phenomenon in Bollywood and now it seems the bendy bug has bit Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn in All The Best.
All the Best stars a melee of actors right from Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Mugdha Godse and Bipasha Basu. Every character is involved in a series of madcap situations, but Sanjay says he was hesitant to do a scene that had slight overtones of a gay relationship. He spoke of director Rohit Shetty who assured him that the scene would leave the audience in splits, ‘He assuaged all my apprehensions and before you knew it, I was actually enjoying the scene.’’ He explains the scene saying, ‘There is a scene in which I’m fast asleep, and an equally drowsy Ajay, who mistakes me for his girlfriend Bipasha Basu, climbs on top of me and tries to seduce me.’’
He adds, ‘Like I said, I’m also fast asleep in the scene with my head covered, so initially I’m enjoying Ajay’s affections but when I realise what is happening, I freak.’ Sanjay is super excited with his role in the film and goes on to say, ‘It’s something I’ve never done before. But like I said, All The Best is a complete fun film and there are many such funny situations. Despite all my initial reservation about some of the comic scenes, once I got into character, I just decided to go ahead and have a ball shooting for it.’
Comedy is his penchant and Sanjay who gave comic timing an all new name with his beloved Munnabhai character reveals, ‘When you’re doing comedy, the first take is invariably the best because most often it comes straight from the heart. Trying to replicate the same magic over and over again sometimes doesn’t work.’
To see Sanju Baba at his best we’d just have to wait till Diwali till All the Best releases!
HELPS THE WIVES, TOO! Kajol: Spotted sitting at the dining table of the Devgn residence, feeding breakfast to beti Nysa. She was observing the fast along with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Ajay was heard joking, "I have told her many times not to fast but it is something she likes to do. I don't know how it helps in increasing the husband's life, but I am sure it helps the wives. They fast for a whole day, detox their systems and get healthy, so I think it benefits them more."
